Mind you, this is someone who has "graduated" tractor trailer school and is fully licensed.

Passing by the entrance to Lowe's a half mile before we have to get onto a highway, which is clearly visible further up the road: "Is this the entrance to the highway?" Oh, you mean that parking lot there?

On said highway, quickly shifts into 10th gear, should be in 8th at best. Engine is overworked. I say "Don't rush through the gears, ride them out a bit more before shifting. Watch your RPMs." Get them to downshift to 7th. We're now going 30mph in a 65mph zone. Remind them to use their hazards, that communicating with the traffic around you is equally as important as safely handling the vehicle. Have to tell them when it's okay to shift out of 7th, they say "Should I put it into 10th?"

Remind them they need to mind their trailer off-tracking when making turns, to take turns wider, to think of turning the trailer not just the tractor. They turn like they're driving a car and run over a curb with the trailer.

Have had to come to a dead stop going up hill on 3 separate occasions because they missed a gear and couldn't find it... then they proceed to burn my clutch up in efforts to avoid rolling backward downhill

It's only 9AM and I'm ready for this day to be over
