Before ponies, I'd be much more receptive to series full of killing and grimness (I was real heavily into that stuff in high school). I still partake in them nowadays, but it's just not the same. Another reason I kinda wish I didn't discover ponies. It made me soft, whereas before, I had a decent shield of cynicism built up. On the other hand, I feel they made me more perceptive of the beauty of the world around me. Well, them, Rez, and Child of Eden.
