You play as a woman augmented with various combat abilities who takes guidance/orders from a cryptic male adviser. The difference here is Ijis struggle feels more personal: shes up against an alien race thats threatening to wipe out all of humanity, an alien race thats already killed part of her family. Iji can choose to show mercy to her foes, and the specifics of this decision can alter the games ending. If you make decisions that wind up ~~leading to her brothers death, she has a mental breakdown and hallucinates him until the end~~. Iji (character) strikes me as a badass action hero type with some elements of humanity sprinkled in.
