Watch out for the Super Mutant Warlords though, their Tri-beam Laser weapons have a unique property of 'deals 25 points of unblockable damage' per beam. Also, download a mod to make the traveling merchants Protected/Essential. Otherwise they WILL get blasted to bits by the DLC enemies. Hmm, that's helpful, thanks. Never thought about using a shotgun but it would par well with the power armor.
