I don't mean some sort of Medicare for all system, just a system where medical records from another facility are easily accessible by new doctors at a different facility. The new doctors could look and see what sort of claims have been made to previous doctors and see what sort of procedures have already been done. They just have to look up the patient in the unified system and can see their entire history. I think they can already. Some people have a chip in them. There are still problems with them. But they do exist. And one of the things you can look up is medical history...

Yeah, but currently it is all up to the patient (or guardian in this case) so in cases where they are intentionally trying to deceive doctors they can just withhold information.

True. Though if these do get all those problems solved and became mandatory, doctors could explain that they couldnt help until they scanned the other person.
Especially since they would have to add that medicine to their medical history, as well...
