Lucha Libre is another great place for Mexican. Couple locations for both depending on where you'll be staying. Definitely check out the zoo. But make sure it's actually the San Diego Zoo you're going to and not the wild animal park. Lots of hiking places if you're into that. Torrey Pines, Mt. Woodsen, Cowles Mountain, etc. Beaches for sure. La Jolla gets hella packed and finding parking can be a nuisance. Torrey Pines, Pacific Beach, Ocean Beach, Mission Bay are all good alternates Definitely check out Downtown especially if you wanna go barhopping/clubbing. Gaslamp District.
