I still use ABP, it works fine for me on youtube.
Pretty sure I use that same filter, if it's the one I'm thinking of.
Ironically, it's an Ad Block created filter in that case, which you have to manually add to UBlock, but is a built in on/off selection in the settings of ABP. So seeing people say "ABP sucks, use Ublock with this filter" is rather funny to me.

Also, it's not perfect. You still see the box outlines of the videos/ads, they're just translucent. But still way better than w/o it. Fuck youtube for allowing such an intrusive "feature" w/ no way for the user to opt out of it!

ABP started accepting money to allow "acceptable ads" through. I didn't know this before, but apparently you can disable the acceptable ads program. It's still pretty lame imo. The main reason ublock is better is performance, it has a much smaller memory footprint than ABP.

Hmm, my Firefox does consume a huge amount of memory...

*Enables Ublock, disables ABP* (I have both, b/c I do need Ublock for one specific site; keep one enabled and other disabled at all times)

Hmm...barely lowered my memory usage at all. Maybe 1% less after a few minutes of waiting for it to lessen...
