Red is a character that I never understood how he can be as popular as he is. He doesnt look cool and the stars of Pokemon is the Pokemons and not the trainers. And he still have won over a couple of really interesting characters from popular games. Cause he is YOU He symbolizes the pokemon master in every kid Hes still a human character in Pokemon, plus has a good bit of association with Smash Bros Brawl specifically, so that could rile up antivotes from Melee fans.
