It managed to be the first live action movie I've seen based on an anime/manga that was actually good. Dude, watch the live action Rurouni Kenshin. I saw Alita in the theaters about a month after it came out. I liked it, but even having not read the manga or watched the anime, I could tell it was trying to cram a little bit too much into one movie, so it had a few pacing issues imo. Other than that, it was definitely one of the better live action adaptations I've seen.
