All that was pointed out was that membership count isn't the best indicator but rather actual active users, in which case the Discord is far ahead of your subreddit. Yes because idling on Discord will leave you online/idle and count towards the member count, whereas idling on a reddit page probably times you out or doesn't count you as an "active reader." Either way, there is clearly more incentive to idle on discord than there is to idle on reddit instead of just closing out the tab.
