"The castle is engulfed in flames as the maddening voice echoes endlessly" is a fun line; I'm sure the translator took some liberties as direct translations are rarely so evocative, but either way, it's neat. Unfortunately, I'm not as into the story now that I've had time to think about it. It may be because I'm joining at the last song of an album, but I have no idea who any of these characters are or why I should care what happens to them. The story is complete enough on its own, I guess, but I think it might have fared a bit better with the other songs to accompany it. [Final Thoughts: I'm undecided on if I should have tried to find the rest of the album (and/or its sequel album) before ranking this or not. On the one hand, that would be far more time and energy than I gave to any other song, and listening to other songs with the explicit goal of trying to give a higher score to a nomination seems cheating. On the other, I can't deny that there are some nominations I loved so much that I've checked out related songs. But that was always a case of "I want more songs like this", not "I want more context to help this nomination"? At least, it feels like there's a difference between those two things.
