Malice implies an intentional callousness which I just don't think is supported by the facts. I think she was genuinely in shock and that caused her to be negligent, not malicious, towards Botham. Because she was rational enough to realize what had happened and placed her own concerns above his life. She was worried more for the blowback on herself and texted her fuck-buddy/partner to help with her own issues rather than tend to the man bleeding out on the floor. To me, that shows intentional callousness. If she were fetal-positioned on the ground or unable to do anything, I'd accept she was in shock.
