And also this is clearly done now as a distraction to try to divert attention away from the abject failure of the front office to capitalize on this season with the immenese talent gifted to them. Like Wilpon spoke about shit and this is the only thing he fucking talked about. He didn't say anything about the current season or "we will spend more next year" or anything like that. Just more fucking hiding. It's a joke.
