Fluttershy_Pony 09/22/19 6:16:24 PM #121: | ==================== #236 [#266]: Name: Opus Number One Origin: Tim Carleton & Darrick Deel Link: Nominator: CPU (10/10) (3, 2, 5.2) [It tries to be relaxing, but somehow, it doesnt relax me. I actually get rather tense waiting for it to end so I can move on to another song.] It took me a while to identify the feeling, but it feels like a threat. It's like the song is saying "you need to relax or else we'll have to...correct your behavior". It's actually rather stressful, at times... ...on the one hand, I was hoping for something like that. On the other, it's not quite overwhelming enough, you know? Too stressful to be relaxing, not quite painful enough to get on a hypothetical oppressive playlist. I think I'm looking for something like Triangle from Thumper? That song has a powerful, oppressive sound to it. It's lost a bit of its effect for me since I've listened to it so many times now, but I really enjoyed the experience the first several times I heard it. This nomination comes close to that same feeling, but just not close enough. ==================== ==================== #235 [#165]: Name: Sophisticated Fight Origin: Sora no Kiseki Super Arrange Link: Nominator: NFUN (8/15) (6, 6, 5.1) [A bit better than the original.] This has a distinct sound and I kinda dig the novelty of it musically focusing on a sax and a xylophone (at least I hope thats's the instrument, it's not something I've heard often), but in the end, it's just another cover of a song I've heard hundreds of times. ==================== --- A not very secret alt account for when Raetsel wants to be a pony ...
