Probably because two very different organizations are behind those two very different things lol It might be because of the money, though. It seems like theyre giving the organization more money to solve the straw problem, instead of more going to the organization who are tying to solve the homeless problem... Smarkil posted... And if it were just the weather, than places like Florida wouldn't have 20% the same homeless population California does. Hell, New York is the next closest in homelessness and that place gets cold as fuck. Its probably a lot of things. Like even though the weather might make some go to Florida (except during hurricane season), its a smaller state, so, less would fit there. And far from a California. If they have no money because they move to California where shit is pretty expensive, they may have no way to travel. New York is similar to California in terms of housing (and maybe stuff in general, I believe) being expensive. Which may also be why they have a high amount.
