To me, a topic like this is the equivalent of a hyper-judgemental conservative Christian senator (let's say Ted Cruz) getting caught cheating on his wife. No, cheating isn't really that terrible of a thing, but of course if the guy doing it has made a career of moralizing against things that he got caught doing himself, that would be worthy of special criticism. That is the Trudeau situation in a nutshell. I think there is a difference between some one championing for something with a thing that contradicts them in the past vs. someone championing for something and getting caught contradicting themselves in the present. --- Mind post.
