No. I don't agree. I'll try to find the links a little later. But on the sex board, someone found out about some studies they did (as we talk about porn often enough). They went to a place where porn was illegal. And it was made legal in that country. When it was, they look at the crime stats. As it turn out, they were less rapes (and less sexual crimes & less sexual violence) after porn was legalized. So, I believe making it illegal (or forcing people to not watch it) would be bad as it would probably go the other way. Especially since porn wouldn't go away. It would still be on the deep web. And that would be much worse. Sex trafficking would probably go way up if that happened...

First of all, I'm not arguing that it should be made illegal. Secondly, if their argument is that countries where its illegal have more rape, then that's a dumb argument. The countries where its illegal have a myriad of other problems that would cause them to be havens for rape and sex trafficking. I'd wager you probably couldn't even find a correlation between the two.

Thirdly, I'm not talking about crime at all. But if you don't think people get addicted to porn and if you don't think porn can cause erectile dysfunction, then you're just bananas my guy. Again, same vein as alcohol.

I'm not running on a presidential platform of no-porn here. I'm just answering a hypothetical on an internet gaming forum.

I never said it didn't cause problems. But that's usually not from just watching porn. I said that earlier, but in the other similar topic. It's not only watching porn, but many other factors. Like age of when you introduced to it, and your mentality as it is. It's not just from watching a lot of porn. Or else, there would be WAY more people that have that exact problem.

And it wasn't just one country. It was multiple. Some had it illegal, some didn't. Some of the studies were in the US and UK. They did some studies for after porn became more easily accessible on the internet. And comparing data, it seemed to match the same thing they found in other countries. Making porn legal or easily accessible seemed to lower rape, sex crimes, and child sexual abuse. You can say it's a dumb argument if you want. Nor do you have to believe me. That's just what the studies showed.

As for what I said earlier (in the other topic), it might be similar to alcohol in that way, but people can still drink a lot (like at a party) and it's not bad. People can also watch a lot of porn without it always causing an addiction or ED just because they watch it a lot.

I think it would be a much worse world if people just stopped looking at porn, tbh...
