| Blue_Dream87 09/14/19 7:24:16 PM #50: | TheVipaGTS posted... it is still mutilation you know, by definition of the word. that doesn't necessarily mean you have to be against it in that case. you could argue that that its negligible, plus the wound eventually heals itself if you take your rings out. even then i think it should be a choice and not done to a 1 year old child. why does a 1 year old even need earrings? i once worked at a jewelry place that did piercings and we had to pierce a 8 month old (our "limit" was 6 months)...I really didn't want to but had to...The look on her face when i did it and the way she looked at me and immediately started crying broke my heart. The point being that "mutilation" is just an emotionally charged word to evoke bias in people. Everyone knows what it is, call it circumcision.
