It's that it very clearly hits a climax when you catch the bad guy you've spent the entire case chasing, and then it goes on for another few hours. It overstays its welcome something fierce. That's what I was referring to. Bringing down Big Bad takes three times as long as it should, which in turn makes it "COME ON ALREADY!" instead of "AWW YEAH, TAKE THAT!"
