Differing opinions and complaining is not trolling.

When you get used to calling somebody a certain name for 3 or 4 years straight, it stings a bit when it suddenly gets changed. It's been well established through logical debate that Square made a mistake in correcting the issue.

Correcting her name = millions of disappointed fans who grew accustomed to Aeris.

Not correcting her name = 0 disappointed fans.

Even if something wasn't how the developers wanted, you dont change a name once an audience has been introduced to the name.

"Hey everyone. I know you all think his name is James Bond. But that was a mistake in all these films. It's actually Jamal Boone. We went ahead and corrected the mistake for future releases and have patched all the movies appropriately by dubbing over all instances of his name."

^ how would you feel about that? Because that is no different than what huge fans of the original NA release of FF7 had to go through.

The name is wrong. You don't perpetuate the mistake as if it was not a mistake the entire time. You fix it.

Unless you're the type of person who thinks this guy are sick.
