I've said it before: I'd respect him more if he dropped this "welcome, friends/I love gaming!" schtick and just admitted that all he wants is his viewers' money. That way there is at least no pretense, and his fans can decide if they want to support the real Phil... and I think most of his actual fans would still support him.

Which is fair.

Of course every streamer wants to make money, but they realize they have do something in return. Generally I love to compare Phil to Maximiliandood. They are complete polar opposites.

Maximilian:

-Even the smallest of donations, Max is thankful for, you'll never EVER see him scolding anyone for asking a question.
-Max tries his hardest to try and make people feel welcome, not only in his stream, but also into the FGC.
-Max owns what he does. He makes great efforts to explain his thought process, tries to improve and explain why he fucked up.
-He tried to refund several large donations, feeling he wasn't worthy.
-Generally a humble, friendly guy. You can tell he enjoys what he does.
-Rarely gets trolled, and if he does he can laugh it off.
-Always treats the people he plays against with respect, you'll never see him insult anyone, and will try to help them improve too.

Phil:

-Isn't thankful for the money he gets. He'll acknowledge donations at best.
-Isn't welcoming of people, especially new people. He makes no effert here.
-Is never at fault. Ever. It's either the game, the controller, his internet connection, or even the fucking alignment of the planets.
-Threw people under the bus, even though the made sizable donations. And he will fucking chew you out if you dare to cancel a donation or something else. Doesn't matter if you can't afford it, you get scolded.
-Has no people skills, doesn't know how to carry a conversation, has no joy in what he does.
-Due to his toxic nature, chat is a toxic cesspool. This causes trolling and the like.
-Has no respect for the people he plays against, they are braindead morons, have no idea how to play the game, and will shit over his opponent win or lose.
