Id say that Edgar/Terra/Bannon is even shorter than the Locke/Celes route, but the Sabin route it probably at least twice as long as the other two routes combined. Possibly three times as long. Something you might not have noticed since the game doesnt exactly draw attention to it during the tutorial, but when Celes successfully does runic and absorbs a magic spell, she also gains the MP equal to the cost of that spell. Also, as was mentioned earlier, she absorbs whatever the next magical spell is, friend of foe. So be careful with your timing.
