Don't get me wrong: I see no reason why sexuality, gender, or race is anything to be proud of since they are supposed to be things you're born with and pride is supposed to be for things you actually accomplish, but hey, people is dum

I'd call coming out as gay an accomplishment, given the likelihood that you incur hardship by doing so. Less so for young people today, since the movement as a whole has accomplished a lot in that regard, but we're still very much not at a point where nobody has to fear coming out. The concept of being proud to be openly gay is valid, and since you can't really express pride in being gay without also being openly gay, the transitive property validates gay pride.

yeah, but we've had this conversation before, and it was the time when you foolishly said that "words dont mean anything" which ive always thought was an odd bend for a pedantic little goober like yourself, but hey.

and i will say the same thing i said last time: call it a gay rights pride parade since thats what theyre actually supposed proud of. the rights they fought for.

It doesnt really roll of the tongue... Gay pride parade works better. As long as you know it for the rights theyre suppose to be proud of, it shouldnt really matter if they want to just call it a gay pride parade...
