The only person he talks to on a regular basis is Kat, and it's unclear how much they actually talk. For the most part, he's talking at (not to) an audience of strangers who aren't in any position to talk back. Every day he says basically the same things. In many cases, he repeats the exact same words and phrases again and again, apparently possessing a very small vocabulary. He isn't participating in normal conversation, so he's only experiencing the manner in which he uses words. Plus, he doesn't respond well to criticism, so he never improves. Case in point, I know I heard someone correct him on his use of "penultimate" at some point in the past, yet he still uses it incorrectly.
