Stage IV colon cancer patient, so I'm in a lot for various metastatic issues in regards to the cancer spreading to my lungs and liver, and mostly for pain management. There's been a number of visits where the goal was to get me through an acute bout of pain and every other hour I'd be pumped full of dilaudid through my port-a-cath. In retrospect, the pain medicine is also probably why I sleep as well as I do in the hospital. Shablagoo posted... And yeah Im with you, despite the sleep thing it was a very positive stay overall. I even tried to stay longer but my doctor said no lol >.> I know this feeling all too well. I've never outright asked "can I stay longer?" but I always want to because...well...the hospital is just so nice. Between knowing I'll be taken care of, knowing I'm in as safe a place I can be in, and getting to talk with people other than just my mom it's honestly kind of depressing when I'm discharged. --- "Tried to point my finger, but the wind was blowing me around in circles, circles." ...
