There's an interview in which Frank explains that he had Steve Vai overdub the vocals in "The Jazz Discharge Party Hats" on guitar to achieve an effect of a George Benson-ish style applied to weird, dissonant melodies that Benson would never play. It's not a song I listen to frequently but I do appreciate the experiment he was trying to do there.
