periphery - reptile
rips all the way through, 16 minutes of great shit by what must be my band of the decade, but can't help but feel it doesn't really need to be one song and it's just kind of 16 minutes arbitrarily

jinjer - just another
jinjer are a lot of fun and i really dig some of this but overall it seems like a pretty generic song compared to some of their other stuff

battle beast - we will fight
there is one riff in this song and then a guitar solo, both of which are fine. this is as cheesy as it gets without breaking through the barrier to being Actually Good

planet x - quantum
there are brief moments where this is fun but it's mostly nonsense. this song was at its best when a guitar was present but when sheridian was losing his mind i just don't care

norma jean - landslide defeater
this fuckin kicked my ass, slapped me around and shouted in my face for a minute and a half, gave me a minute to catch my breath and then came back swinging for another minute, every second of this was awesome

judas priest - painkiller
never been huge on priest and i think its mostly rob halford's vocals, they're such a turn off to me. when it's instrumental this song is badass but i'll never love it overall

arch echo - bocksuvfun
this was a pleasure to listen to and while, much like the album art alludes to, i never quite knew what was coming next, it never felt like shit was just happening for no reason. had a big ol smile on my face all through this

dissidia 012 - god in fire
i enjoyed the vocals and i enjoyed the simple main riff but it was all a bit basic. basically heard the whole song a minute in, besides the SUPERCHORUS at the end

poppy - concrete
this sure was creative! there was a lot i liked but the overly flowery bits are just... i dunno, makes me feel like i'm listening to a novelty thing

dragonforce - soldiers of the wasteland
you know when i talked about breaking through the cheesy barrier earlier? yeah here's dragonforce. yeah i might never need to hear a dragonforce album again in my life but for 10 minutes a song like this is such a shot of adrenaline and the chorus is SO MUCH FUN. fuckin sat on the couch pumpin my fist to parts of this, what more do you need honestly

van halen - panama
haha this sucks

noble beast - we burn
i wasn't really keen on the singer especially when he was trying to be especially "epic" but there was a lot of fun stuff here otherwise that i could see myself listening to more of

mega man - metal man stage
the thing about video game music is it almost always conveys no actual emotion to me and just kind of feels soulless. i don't get much from this besides like, i can bob my head and tap my foot alright but i just take nothing away from it really
