I instinctively always check an elevator's inspection placard when entering a new one. I know how safe they suppoesly are, but I still get slightly paranoid. It's reassuring to see it passed inspection and isn't more than at most a month or 2 overdue for a new inspection.

Well, in a cruel twist of irony...moving your shit out of a high rise building likely requires lots of use of the elevator, because carrying all that heavy stuff down tons of stairs just isn't feasible.
