In general, I would expect that teenagers vote based on hype and what they've enjoyed recently, while 30-year-olds vote based on staying power and nostalgia. Because it wasn't a flash in the pan like most of the GotY/GotD games you mentioned, I would inherently expect BotW to improve from sub-3 months after its release to now on the GameFAQs of today. If OrangeCrush is correct that its reception has fallen off a bit from 2017 to today, it would have done even better in a favorite Zelda game poll near the end of 2017. --- "I believe in a universe that doesn't care, and people who do."
