An Alabama High School is facing outrage for keeping an LGBT Student's Picture OUT of the yearbook because she chose to wore a "non-typical" outfit for her picture instead of a DRESS as her outfit was deemed OFFENSIVE!!

Springville High School Senior, 17 y/o Holley Gerelds said she proudly identifies as a member of the LGBT and just wanted to be herself as the school's photographer said it was OK for her to wear what she wore

She asked if she could wear this as she's more comfortable in that because she feels like she's wearing a drape if she had to wear a dress as it wasn't her

But when she got her senior yearbook, she wasn't surprised that the words "not pictured" was printed there instead and said "I hate to say, but i'm used to it. i saw it coming. I honestly just laughed..i feel like i did nothing wrong. I paid, i was on time"

Scrutinizing gender norms and stifling political expression in yearbook photos is a common practice for grade school admins.

In 2014, Utah's Wasatch High School went as far as PHOTOSHOP SLEEVES on girls

But the school superintendent, Mike Howard said their senior pics were taken in accordance with "long standing school guidelines" but noted that that the district is in the process of revaluating those guidelines on possible changes and said that they will include all students that participated in their senior portrait process regardless of their choice of attire

Gereld said she wanted to shed light on the issue of discrimination at her school to prevent future students from going through what others had to endure

The school has a long standing policy that Girls must wear DRESSES for their portraits while Guys wear SUITS

Do you have a problem with what Holley wore?
