I personally don't remember the prequel hate being immediate outside of maybe Jar Jar, though when it did rear its head it was usually from fans who were around to watch the OT during its initial run(s). The PT hate only got truly severe after the RedLetterMedia stuff. I remember watching that grow over time until it became (what felt like) a bandwagon. No, dude. The prequels always got hate from the very beginning.
