...what? The gba was well-configured for snes ports. Offhand, I can't think of any snes ports that might have been better off on the DS due to a hardware issue. In most cases, it was more a problem with something being sloppily ported. A great case-in-point involves something from the Genesis (ie, same 16-bit): Sega's awful Sonic port where fans created a better version.

The GBA was not strong enough to port SNES games perfectly while the DS was strong enough, hell you could even emulate SNES on the DS, just not at full speed.

There's not a single SNES game ported to GBA that I played that looks exactly or close to the same except FF5 (FF4 looks good but was a Wonderswan port). DKC 1-2-3 looks horrible, FF6 was ok but washed out (the singer in the opera scene was pretty good tho) and the 2 BOF games were decent but inferior graphically again. All SNES games on GBA had less colors, inferior sounds, lower resolution and often smaller sprites. The fact that the ports were sloppy is a good sign of the limitation to port SNES games on the GBA, fan made stuff was better but not perfect as well.

Genesis is not "same 16bit" as the SNES...Genesis as much less colors and much crappier sounds...something that the GBA had less trouble to do, obviously. Again, the DS was strong enough to ports SNES games perfectly; Chrono Trigger is a very good example as is looks exactly the same as the SNES version while GBA ports were always inferior.

The GBA with native games was awesome tho....ports are expected to need more ressources so SNES games on GBA being inferior never surprised me.
