If I were doing a penalty thing I'd make it something public and alignment-neutral. Probably something announced in the OP like "For a minor infraction, you are -2 to lynch the next day" or "You cannot vote the next day." Handing out scans/powers seems potentially unbalanced, and also easy to meta.

I'd probably also be more lenient with posting-after-lynch that doesn't occur at deadline. Say I read the whole topic, then take 15 minutes typing up a post (not unusual). I forget to refresh the page before posting. OOPS day ended 10 minutes ago.
