If you increase the time to ten minutes it spikes. 1- The intruder is somebody in your house 2- Statistically, if you're going to kill a resident of your house, not having a gun doesn't really change that. 3- I can't help but suspect that the statistics are likely intentionally skewed by spouses/partners trespassing in the home after being kicked out or having a restraining order filed. 1- irrelevant. 2- Victims of abuse are 500% more likely to be murdered if the abuser owns a gun.
