I equate her demanding the release in the first place to speaking out publicly but yeah I guess if you want an official PR statement like Harper did sure. I'd prefer an official statement personally. To me, all she's doing by demanding her release is demanding her release. We're left to fill in the blanks as to what the reason is, and while there's ample evidence to tell us what it is, maybe if she had said something there would be a better glimpse into her thought process, and why she felt that way.
