To me, that was beyond his normal lying and begging--that was a carefully planned and orchestrated scam that had been in the works for months. He conned his viewers into paying him a grand to admit that he'd been lying to them for months, and then he has the gall to act like he got the win over the detractors. If you told 2016 Phil that someone on Twitch made their viewers give them a thousand dollars to reveal that they owned a cat, 2016 Phil would have called that person a greedy, amoral fucking scammer who deserved to be kicked off the site.
