The 1 win Cowboys.

This got me thinking... is it possible for a team to go 0-16? Would Madden eventually just give any team a win no matter how bad they are

Good question. I remember being pretty much certain that we were going to lose to the Patriots last year because they were still winless at 0-9 when we first played them. I also figured we had a better than usual chance to beat the Dolphins the following week because losing to the Pats was our 3rd straight loss to drop us to 5-5. We beat the Dolphins the following week, and then beat the Pats in the rematch the week after.

Anyway, all of that is to say my guess is it's probably possible, but insanely unlikely based on the RNG of the game. My assumption when a team has horrible stats in comparison to their opponent but still wins is the game is making the wins/losses for teams balance themselves out or something.

Like despite having a pretty decent record given the disparity in player ratings in Bills/Dolphins match-ups, I'm pretty certain the Bills have never come close to outperforming the Dolphins statistically in any of those games, and it has instead been very much the opposite even when the Dolphins lose.
