I have a positive opinion of police here in Hawaii. Except for the one horrible case with former chief Louis Kealoha and his wife (but at least they got convicted), there's almost never any negative news on the cops here. And I've seen some good stuff happen too.

Like there was a homeless guy who punched a guy at the bus stop, pushed over a Japanese tourist, then stabbed the cop near his neck with a screwdriver while trying to take his gun. With the help of a passerby, the cop was able to subdue and arrest the hobo without any excessive force that the media loves to report on.

And then there was a stupid guy who ran across 5 lanes of traffic, and some police were right there to give him a ticket lol.

The Hawaii police sucks.

They let hobos harass tourists in Waikiki beach. But dont you ducking dare sneak some booze to the beach or they will fuck up your life

Well I rarely go to Waikiki, so I don't know how they are there. But like I said, I saw one stop a crazed hobo assaulting a resident and a tourist (this was by Ala Moana BTW). And at least they're doing their job when it comes to the booze.
