| LapisLazuli 07/19/19 3:06:02 PM #104: | I'm not a fan of the new dub, especially some of the localization changes and decisions. Definitely don't like the new Shinji as much compared to the, as far as I'm concerned, legendary Spike Spencer. I do think that's not the VAs fault, they're good in general, but the direction leaves a lot to be desired. There's certainly some questionable stuff with the localization lead at Stujdi Khara, too, and the choices he made and excuses he presented for said choices showing some contradictions and bias. I think it's easily the worst way to watch Eva, compared to the original sub and dub. Losing Fly Me to the Moon is the one everyone is stuck on, but it's pretty low on my list of issues. Heck, even on the sub side of things, some technical issues with the subs where the on screen text isn't subbed while watching in Japanese ( but is if you watch it in English with subtitles??) means even that's inferior to digging up old subs. --- ...
