Tom Hooper struggled a bit with the tone and pace Les Mis which was vastly better (and more cinematic) source material. I don't know why he (or anyone) was the one for cats. Obellisk posted... I will go see this in the theater to encourage more Movie Musicals, however i think i'll be cringing. No need, movie musicals are doing pretty damn well these days, if Cats bombs the take away will just be "well, guess we shouldn't have tried to adapt Cats". --- I just decided to change this sig.
