It just seems like that there's been an increase in 80s/90s retro stuff in the recent years. That's because the generation that grew up in that era now has all the buying power, so their nostalgia is being marketed to. Whatever was popular 25-30 years ago tends to have a resurgence later - it's been that way for decades now.
