I remember how when "You don't mess with the Zohan" came out some people criticized it for "being insensitive to the issue" because the moral of the movie is the war is stupid and Jews and Palestinians should get along. The problem is that it's easier said than done. And Israelis have some pretty valid concerns about preserving a state for the Jews, considering that the Holocaust was a thing and antisemitic attitudes aren't just common through the region but are widely accepted in Europe and, even in the US, aren't just limited to fringe hate groups. --- "If I were a ghost, this is certainly the kind of place I'd haunt."
