| Topic | Gears of War. What's changed with the franchise since the first one? |
| LeetCheet 07/15/19 2:43:35 AM #7: | I religiously played the Gears of War games back in the day when they were relevant. While Gears 1 was fast paced it was also glitchy as heck and people were exploiting said glitches. With Gears 2 they made the game slower which many didn't like but I think 2 was at the franchise's high point. Gears 3 is my favourite and it was the first Gears game where you could actually use anything else but the shotgun. Judgment was a disappointment. They changed so much and took away what made Gears stand out from the other shooters. I barely played Gears 4 because I was so letdown by the developer's incompetence. Campaign-wise I'd say the original trilogy is one of the best trilogies on the Xbox 360. 2's campaign makes you go through all kinds of crazy shit. The pacing in Judgment's campaign was atrocious though. So many flashbacks that killed off the immersion. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
