This is so pointless
But also the 2DS was and yet it sold a lot

So I guess it will be useful for some people

The thing they're going for is cost. If all someone wants to do is get a portable system, this is a good choice. Why spend the extra $100 for a dock and features you don't need when you could spend less and get just a portable system?

Most of the people I see complaining about it are people that already have a Switch. This isn't meant for them. It's meant for people that don't want to spend $300 and/or don't care about docked mode that don't have a Switch yet.

I know it's meant for people that want to use it as a handheld/kids with parents that are not willing to spend $300
And yet I feel like getting rid of the docked mode is huge
I am also planning to use my Switch as just a handheld, but I like having the option to connect it to a TV, regardless
I also prefered to play Let's Go with the Joy Cons, while the Switch was standing on it's hinge-thingy

You know this isn't replacing the original Switch, right? If you want the option to connect to a TV... then buy the Switch that can connect to the TV. It's not rocket science.

Change is weird.
