Don't get me wrong, there are definitely flaws in BvS but I believe BvS achieves greater heights than the MCU movies because it actually dares to take itself seriously. MCU movies are tonally all over the place. Something tragic happens and then the next moment someone says a joke. It's like the MCU is afraid of actually going all the way.

See I hear people say this all the time but Im not really sure why.

People say things at inappropriate moments all the time. Sometimes its awkwardness, sometimes its just the psyche breaking for a moment.

Levity in terrible situations is a common occurrence. You ever wonder why soldiers sometimes get this awkward laugh or make a joke when they describe the shit they went through?

Theres a lot of legit complaints about the MCU but I never felt like this was one of them. Idk, maybe Ive just seen more awkward situations when it comes to heavy shit then most people or something.

I do feel mcu could tone the humor down a little. Like doctor strange epicily putting on the cape then collar starts rubbing his face. Stuff like that was just a bit too much on trying to be funny imo.
