If you think about it, it'd suit him; dude had significant anger issues, and remember that a person's Stand is said to reflect their inner character and desire. Fugo's Stand Purple Haze is one of the most dangerous and deadliest Stands in the series. It's easy to picture him having a really nasty dark side. Fugo betraying the group and Giorno being forced to kill him would have been epic.
