An amazing JRPG, and one of the best in its series (though I still think V is a better game). Having the forge and balancing the game to actually make a Dragon Quest game that doesn't require grinding for equipment or EXP is new to me, as the last few games I played (VI and IX) both required too much for my tastes. I will admit that the story did take me a while to get hooked, but when Act II started I was locked in for the long haul. I knew when the story opened up like that it was a great choice for my 125th milestone platinum, and I'm glad that quick play through of Shenmue HD (for #124) could make this happen. The platinum itself did not take much extra time, just finish a bunch of side content, get everyone to level 99 and forge a bunch of appearance-altering equipment. Though in my case the last equipment piece was in the casino so I needed to do another 20 minutes of slots near the end. Clocked in at just around eighty hours, which seems about right.

It'll be cool to play as the Luminary in Smash as well.

Now that I have #125 out of the way, I'm actually not sure what I'll finish after the two that are very close to being finished (Borderlands and Fill-a-Pix PS4) so I'll be starting a number of new games over the next month, to see if anything sticks. Started Mary Skelter a few days ago and it was a pretty good dungeon crawler even if the Vita is overloaded with them.
