Gimme Shelter is actually my fave Rolling Stones song. Hard to believe it's from 1969. It has a sound that made me think it was from the late 70s/early 80s. I can see it in the 60's because of the topic. Hey, Hey, LBJ...and all that. It is an amazing song though.
