Youre supposed to do both lol Deodorant is not a substitute for a shower It actually is a quick fix to smelling good if you can't be bothered to shower, don't have the time or simply don't have access to one. Of course it's just masking your stench but yeah folk do one without the other. As for just showering? Your product you use in the shower will make you smell good if it's decent.
