that's just marketing. TONS of pick up is geared towards marketing. it's bullshit and a big part of why i wouldn't recommend seminars to people and why i personally don't want to teach it. an example is how in a lot of pick up videos, they show guys making out with the girl. but in a good pick up, i wouldn't make out with a girl until just shortly before sex (kissing relieves sexual tension when i want to build it up instead). however, having that clip is great for marketing "this ugly guy makes out with hot girl! that can be you!"

i didn't say 98% of men can't get laid. i said 98% of men can't pick up a girl. picking up a girl implies it's cold approach and not social circle. then eliminate the men in countries where cold approach doesn't happen (india for one). then eliminate the guys who are married/have a gf and are committed to them, guys that are too young, guys that are too old and yes eliminate the incels. now of the remaining, how many guys when they see a hot girl they don't know will even approach them? yes, i stick by it....the answer is less than 2% of all men can pick up a girl and even less can pick up a hot girl and even even less can do it consistently.
